Day 1 -Arrival

Day 3 – Trakai

On day three you will venture outside Vilnius for a day trip to Trakai, a historic town set amidst lakes, forests, and hills, just 28 km from the capital.

After breakfast, you’ll visit the Vilnius Food Market located in Vilnius Old Town before heading to Trakai, the former capital of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania. Once there, you’ll explore the enchanting Trakai Castle, a 15th-century fortress perched on an island in Lake Galvė. Inside the castle, you’ll find the Historical and Applied Art Museum, with a special exhibition on the Karaites, a small ethnic community that still resides in the area. Following your tour, enjoy a relaxing boat ride around the castle or opt for a more active adventure by paddling in a canoe or rowing boat. For lunch, you’ll savour the local Karaite speciality, Kibinai, at a lakeside restaurant, before returning to Vilnius.
