Cookie Policy

Introduction

PURE ONE Travel ("we", "our", "us") is committed to transparency about how we use cookies and similar technologies on pureonetravel.com (the "Website"). This Cookie Policy explains what cookies we set, why, and how you can control them. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy.

This policy is written to comply with the UK Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR), the EU ePrivacy Directive, and the UK GDPR / EU GDPR where personal data is involved.

1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. Similar technologies (such as local storage, pixels, and tags) work in comparable ways. In this policy, "cookies" refers to all of these technologies.

Cookies can be:

  • Session cookies — deleted when you close your browser.
  • Persistent cookies — remain on your device until they expire or you delete them.
  • First-party cookies — set by us.
  • Third-party cookies — set by services we use (for example, Google Analytics).

2. Your consent

When you first visit the Website, a consent banner asks whether you accept non-essential cookies. We do not set any non-essential cookies until you give consent. You can:

  • Accept all — allow strictly necessary and analytics cookies.
  • Reject non-essential — only strictly necessary cookies will be used.
  • Manage preferences — choose which categories you allow.

You can change your choice at any time by clicking Cookie Settings in the website footer. Your preference is stored locally on your device for up to 12 months, after which we will ask again.

Strictly necessary cookies do not require consent under PECR / ePrivacy because they are essential for the service you have requested.

3. Categories of cookies we use

a. Strictly necessary (always on)

Required for the Website to function — for example, remembering your cookie choice, keeping forms working, and protecting against abuse. These are first-party and typically session-based.

| Name | Purpose | Duration | | --- | --- | --- | | `poc_cookie_consent_v1` | Stores your cookie preferences | 12 months |

b. Analytics (only with your consent)

We use Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID `G-72GRFB120P`) to understand how visitors use the site so we can improve it. IP addresses are anonymised and advertising features are disabled. These cookies are only set after you accept analytics in the consent banner.

| Name | Provider | Purpose | Duration | | --- | --- | --- | --- | | `_ga` | Google | Distinguishes unique users | 2 years | | `_ga_<container-id>` | Google | Session state for GA4 | 2 years |

Google Analytics may transfer data outside the UK/EEA. Google acts as our processor and applies Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) where required.

c. Third-party embedded content

Some pages embed content from third parties (for example, WeTravel booking widgets, Brevo newsletter forms, Google Forms, and YouTube videos). These providers may set their own cookies when their content loads. Because embeds are essential to the feature you asked to use (e.g. checking availability), they load on request; where they set optional cookies, you should review the provider's own policy.

4. How to control cookies

  • On this site: use the banner or click Cookie Settings in the footer.
  • In your browser: most browsers let you block or delete cookies. See aboutcookies.org for guidance.
  • For Google Analytics: you can install Google's opt-out browser add-on.

Blocking strictly necessary cookies may cause parts of the Website to stop working.

5. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control

Our consent banner is the primary way we record your choice. Where your browser sends a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, we treat it as a signal to reject non-essential cookies by default until you tell us otherwise.

6. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date below shows when it was last revised. Material changes will be highlighted on the Website.
