Your Itinerary
Day 1 – Your Arrival
Arrive in Taipei, you’ll be greeted by the English-speaking driver guide, and transferred to your the Riviera Hotel in Taipei.
Day 2 – Taipei Culture Tour
After breakfast, meet with your English-speaking driver guide, and have a cultural tour in Taipei. Visit some of the major sites including the National Palace Museum to admire Chinese imperial collections and Martyrs’ Shrine for honor guard shifting. Continue to visit Longshan Temple, Herb Lane, and the Chiang Kai-Shek Memorial Hall. In the late afternoon visit Taipei 101 with the Observation Deck to view Taipei city from a bird’s eye.
Day 3 – Hualien City
After breakfast, meet with your English-speaking driver guide at your hotel for departure towards Hualien via the breathtaking East Coast Cliff Highway, and visit the Truku Tribe to enjoy multiple experiences ending with the Fern Awakening Garden Tour. Overnight at the 4*Lakeshore Hualien Hotel.
Day 4 – Sun Moon Lake
After breakfast, journey to the stunning Sun Moon Lake via the scenic Central Cross-Island Highway, passing through Wuling on Mt. Hehuan — the highest point of the route at 3,275 metres — offering breathtaking panoramic views of Taiwan’s Central Mountain Range. Upon arrival at Sun Moon Lake, a designated National Scenic Area, take a leisurely drive along its tranquil shores and soak in the surrounding natural beauty, including a visit to the picturesque Wen-wu Temple with its striking views over the lake. Overnight stay at the Lea Lea Rainforest Hotel in Sun Moon Lake.
Day 5 – Alishan
After breakfast, explore the lakeside gems of Holy Monk Shrine, the vibrant village of Ita Thao, and the serene Tse En Pagoda nestled along the hillside. In the afternoon, continue your journey southward to the lush Alishan Forest Recreation Area, where you’ll spend the night at the charming 3-star Alishan Shermuh Hotel.
Day 6 – Chiayi
Begin the day with an early morning ride on the Alishan Forest Train to witness the breathtaking sunrise over the mountains, before returning to the hotel for breakfast. Following a short rest, explore the ancient forest trails and admire the towering hundred-year-old trees that define the Alishan landscape. The journey then continues with a visit to a local tea farm, where you’ll don a traditional tea-picking hat and enjoy a guided tour through the plantation. Learn about the intricate tea-making process, take in the sweeping views of the lush tea fields, and savour a tasting of two distinctive teas accompanied by local tea snacks. Later, we drive to Chiayi City and settle in for the night at the 4-star Chiayi Yuh Tong Hotel.
Day 7 – Travel to Taipei
After breakfast, depart from your hotel in Chiayi and begin the journey back to Taipei, with enriching stops along the way. First, explore Lukang Old Street, renowned for its well-preserved historic architecture, centuries-old charm, and a vibrant array of traditional snack stalls and artisanal shops. The experience continues with a visit to Gaomei Wetland, an ecological haven known for its stunning coastal scenery and rich biodiversity. Arrive in Taipei and enjoy an overnight stay at the Riviera Hotel.
Day 8 – Your Departure
After breakfast, you’ll be transferred to the airport at a time that suits your flight departure as we bid you a fond farewell, hoping to welcome you back to Taiwan again in the future.
