Your Itinerary
Day 1: Welcome to Tunisia
Your adventure begins with a warm welcome in Tunis-Carthage International Airport, the capitvating capital city. Upon your arrival, your dedicated local guide will greet you and escort you to your charming accomodation in the heart of the medina. As you settle into your traditional guesthouse, you will be instantly surrounded by the intricate architecture and timeless atmosphere of old Tunis. Enjoy a relaxing evening and your first taste of Tunisian hospitality with a delicious dinner.
Day 2: Ancient Treasures & Seaside Charm
After breakfast, your cultural immersion truly begins. Start with the renowned Bardo Museum, home to the world’s largest collection of Roman Mosaics. Then, lose yourself in the winding alleys of Tunis’s ancient Medina, a UNESCO World Heritage Site filled with spice-scented air, traditonal crafts, and centuries-old architecture. After lunch, explore the legendary ruins of Carthage and the ancient baths before ending the day in the picturesque cliffside village of Sidi Bou Said. Here, you’ll sip mint tea and try the local pastry, bambalouni, while gazing over the sparkling Mediterranean.
Day 3: Sousse & Authentic Encounters
Leave the capital behind and journey to the coastal city of Sousse, where history and everday life blend seamlessly. Visit its impressive mosque, medieval ribat and the archaeological museum before enjoying a leisurely lunch. In the afternoo, explore Sousse’s own UNESC-listed Medina and stroll the marina at Port El Kantaoui. Tonight, you will experience true Tunisian warmth as you stay with a local family in the Sahel region – an unforgetable opportunity to connect with the country on a personal level.
Day 4: Roman Grandeur & Berber Traditions
Today, step back in time as you visit El Djem, home to one of the best-preserved Roman amphitheatres in the world. This UNESCO site rivals the colosseum in grandeur and scale. Afterwards, head south into the heart of Berber country, arriving in the otherworldly village of Matmata. Famous for its troglodyte homes dug into the earth, Matmata offers a unique window into traditonal way of life. You will also enjoy a hands-on cultural experience with the local community before spending the night in a cosy cave dwelling- an authentic stay like no other.
Day 5: Desert Adventures & Saharan Serenity
After enjoying breakfast, the morning begins with a scenic drive to the rugged village of Toujane, where time seems to stand still. from there, continue on to Douz, known as the “Gateway to the Sahara”. Enjoy an exhilarating camel ride across the dunes before lunch in town. In the afternoon, board 4×4 Jeeps and venture deep into the desert to Timbaine, an awe-inspiring landscape of rolling sands and still silence. As night falls, you’ll dine under the stars and sleep in a desert camp—a magical evening of tranquility and connection to nature.
Day 6: Timbaine, Douz, and Tozeur
Wake up to the stillness of the desert and experience a panoramic tour before journeying back to Douz by Jeep and and onwards to Tozeur, Tunisia’s oasis jewel. Along the way, stop for photos at the dazzling Chott El Jerid salt lake, its surreal colours and vastness creating a dreamlike panorama. After lunch in Tozeur, explore the palm-filled oasis and atmospheric Medina of Tozeur. You will stay in a guesthouse tonight, where charm and comfort awaits.
Day 7: Mountain Oasis and Ancient Sbeitla
Today’s route takes you through dramatic desert landscapes and mountainous oasis, showcasing yet another side of Tunisia’s natural beauty. Visit the ancient Roman city of Sbeitla, where remarkably preserved ruins offer a glimpse into the past. After lunch, continue to the sacred city of Kairouan—one of Islam’s holiest sites. This city is not only steeped in spiritual heritage but also celebrated for its stunning architecture and local crafts. You’ll enjoy dinner and spend the night in a welcoming 4-star hotel.
Day 8: Kairouan, Dougga & Return to Tunis

Day 9: Farewell Tunisia
After breakfast, it’s time to bid farewell to this enchanting land. You’ll be transferred to Tunis-Carthage International Airport for your onward flight, leaving with a heart full of memories, cultural treasures, and unforgettable moments.
