Your Itinerary:

Day 1: Muscat – Nakhal – Wadi Bani Awf – Jabal Shams
Upon arrival in Muscat, after completing customs formalities and collecting your luggage, you will meet your guide, who will lead you on this unforgettable adventure. Board a 4WD vehicle and depart for Nakhal, home to one of the most iconic fortresses in Oman. Perched on a rocky promontory and surrounded by date palm plantations, Nakhal Fort is a masterpiece of Omani architecture. Explore its labyrinthine corridors, towers, and courtyards, offering a glimpse into the region’s rich history and past defensive ingenuity.

Leaving Nakhal, continue through lush date palm groves, where the air is filled with the sweet scent of dates, until you reach the relaxing hot springs of Ain Thowarah. Nestled at the foot of the Hajjar Mountains, these warm mineral-rich waters are renowned for their therapeutic properties, providing a serene stop along the way.

Next, prepare for an exciting adventure as you venture into the picturesque Wadi Bani Awf, considered one of the most beautiful off-road routes in Oman. For about two hours, you’ll navigate through dramatic gorges, where the winding road twists between towering cliffs and rugged terrain. Along the way, discover charming villages nestled in the mountains, such as the captivating Bilad Sayt, with its traditional stone houses and terraced fields that evoke timeless charm. As the road ascends, marvel at the spectacular Snake Gorge, a striking fissure between the mountains showcasing the untamed beauty of nature. Take a short walk through picturesque villages famous for rose cultivation and orchards, including pomegranates, walnuts, and peaches. Day 5: Masirah Island

Between February and March, the waters around Masirah transform into a playground for whales. As you approach the beach, the sight of its endless stretches of golden sand merging with the turquoise waters of the Arabian Sea is simply magical. The remote and unspoiled nature of this place makes it a true hidden gem, offering a sense of peace and connection with the natural world. At sunset, your guide will help set up the tent camp, creating an authentic and cozy experience between desert and sea. Gather around as dinner is served under a blanket of stars, accompanied by the soothing sound of waves in the background.

This unforgettable evening offers the perfect blend of adventure and tranquility, allowing you to fully immerse yourself in the wild beauty of Omani nature. Day 7: Al Khaluf Beach – Muscat
Enjoy a morning breakfast on the beach, savoring the serene atmosphere as the sun rises over the Arabian Sea. Afterwards, break camp and bid farewell to the untouched beauty of Al-Khaluf Beach, taking with your memories of its pristine sands and tranquil waters.

Then, board your 4×4 vehicle for the return journey to Muscat, where you will check in to your hotel upon arrival. The rest of the day is free for you to relax at your leisure. Whether you choose to lounge by the pool, explore the surroundings, or simply reflect on your adventures, this downtime offers the perfect opportunity to recharge after your journey through Oman’s breathtaking landscapes. Day 8: Muscat
After breakfast at the hotel, take part in a half-day guided tour to discover the main cultural and historical highlights of Muscat. Begin your journey with a visit to the magnificent Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque, an architectural masterpiece that reflects Oman’s rich Islamic heritage. Admire its majestic prayer hall, which houses the world’s largest handwoven carpet and a stunning 24-carat gold chandelier. Next, head to the iconic Al Alam Palace, the official residence of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos, flanked by the historic Al Jalali and Al Mirani Fortresses. Although the palace is not open to the public, its imposing facade and the grand fortresses offer a glimpse into Oman’s glorious past and its strategic maritime history. Continue to the Bait Al Zubair Museum, a cultural treasure trove showcasing Omani traditions, history, and lifestyle through an extensive collection of artifacts, including ancient weapons, traditional costumes, jewelry, and household items.
