NOTE: Fly fishing on most rivers in Slovenia begins in April and continues until end of October, while the Hucho (Danube salmon) season runs from 01 October to 14 February.
Fly fishing is UNAVAILABLE between 15 February 2025 and 31 March 2025.
We suggest flying to Zagreb in Croatia, as no border controls and easy access to accommodation, you can fly to Ljubljana International Airport (LJU) in Slovenia as an alternative if you wish but the transfer is often busier and slower.
